What is the difference between a rooms sales manager and catering manager at a hotel?

The room sales manager would likely be responsible for securing sales of rooms in the property associated with events, normal reservations, etc. They would potentially be responsible for negotiating special rates with corporations, organizations, etc. to encourage on-going occupancy.





A catering manager is likely responsible for meeting the food/beverage needs of schedule events. They would manage the in-house kitchen, work with outside vendors, schedule catering staff, etc.
