Well, the five star hotels and up (those are the employers that matter) insist on atleast an undergraduate degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management. You would be usually be starting a Management Trainee, but in a few years you can become Manager of a specific sub-department, say Food %26amp; Beverages, Housekeeping, Front Office, Restaurant, Kitchen, etc. As you gain in experience and maturity, you ll be promoted to Assistant Hotel Manager and eventually Hotel Manager. The growth pattern does not stop there. If you go back to school and get an MBA, you can even make Vice-President of the hotel chain that you re working for.

yeah, experience is the key. some dont even need a degree...some you just work your way up.....

but you will need to have some experience. They dont hand the keys to the hotel over to you upon completion of your degree.
