After becoming General Manager of a hotel, can you eventually own it?

or become higher up in the hotel company? like CEO?

I want to own a hotel of my own one day, a nice luxurious one, but it's very expensive to build one...

so can i work my way up the ladder at a nice hotel in vegas and one day own it?

thanks. After becoming General Manager of a hotel, can you eventually own it?
YES

it is possible to move up in a company or to become an owner. it depends on your abilities as well as timing and the correct set of circumstances.

almost all CEOs, CFOs and COOs of food service and hospitality corporations started in the business usually as an hourly employee who enjoyed the work saw a future, continued their education and worked extremely hard.

Good LuckAfter becoming General Manager of a hotel, can you eventually own it?
Well most hotels are owned by different company share holders, so you could definitely become the CEO and though out time buy more stocks and bonds and become a bigger share holder of the hotel.

But for most hotels there is only a certain amount of shares for employees and the rest is split between family's, person who had the idea and company that helped pay for it.

Your best bet would be to work i one and then go on a venue with another person who has the money and would share a bigger share with you because the believe in you and the way you have made the other hotel become successful.

good luck to you
Umm, from what I saw, looking it up on Yahoo and things, it seems that if you are a manager you could get promoted by the guys higher up and if they really like you, and they retired, that spot will be open...You may just get lucky. Now I am not positive about that...But, from what I've seen, that seems like how it works...
In order to own it I think that you would need to buy it. So if you where working their and it came up for sale and you had the money to buy it. Then you could buy it.
Most/ if not all hotels in vegas are owned by corporations. So I guess if you like to own one of them, you'd need to become a majority shareholder.
you can own ANYTHING with enough money.
You have to be from some sort of Arabian or Pakistan country to own a hotel.
