Management is a very dificult position because as a manager you have to put feeling aside and leave personal issues aside. A Front Desk Manager can do this because remember there is upper management and he can get fired for doing this. Hotels are very strict and if one of their managers were to do something as you have suggested, he would be terminated. I am in a manament position and I know people who work in the Hotel business, that is the way it is. No worries if this person hates you he will treat you like you are the best customer! Trust me and he does not you can certainly put a complaint to upper management!

He can accidentally lose your reservation.
He can give you the worst room in the hotel.
He can give you a key that doesn't work.
He can forget to give you a wake-up call.
He can accidentally charge you the wrong rate.
