I am a hotel manager and good customer service to me is friendly and helpfull staff, efficient and accurate check in, clean rooms, and if there is a problem then it is sorted with minimum fuss that keeps the guest happy.Suppose u r a hotel manager just give me examples of good customer service?
Good customer service is going above and beyond what our customer expects. I own a restaurant. I have found that when you give customers that extra attention it goes a long way. Not only does it look good on you as a manager, or the company you work for, but if there are any mishaps/ problems with the service people tend to overlook bad situations if service is good from initial contact. Not to mention word of mouth. When people spend money on a service they want to feel like they are getting their monies worth. If they feel they are not getting the attention or the service it makes the whole experience leave a bad taste in their mouth.
I went with 3 couples to Niagara Falls recently. Originally when we booked we asked for our rooms to be together on the same floor. When we arrived none of us were together. So at first we were a little upset. The manager on duty at the time explained the situation, and took care of everything he was able to move some other reservation's to another floor to accommodate us. Not only did he do that but for the next three days he personally checked up on us. I was also impressed because he remembered all our names and where we were from. So he made that extra effort to make our situation personal which impressed me.
Just remember people are spending their hard earned money to have a good experience. If someone feels welcomed or unimportant, it will take it away from that.
