2. Go to school and get an associate's degree in hotel and restaurant management, and that along with your work experience might do it for you if the first way doesn't work. Usually a degree in management with no work experience won't do you any good. Employers would rather someone with actual experience, and will often hire from within a company.

it depends on where you are at the present time, if you are a maid then you have a long way to go
It depends upon many factors. They are: The level or the position you work at right now. The skills and abilities to perform managerial task by you. The education. The Experience. You must have the knowledge of how to handle the customer in good to worse situations.? You must know the meaning of customer, market, and business. And If you have your own business or you work at your relatives' hotel they can easily get you the place you want but still i will go with the skills. Coz I already passed that position in the past. Besides this your will-power will also prove the most important factor while deciding to go to the next/managerial level.
