Im thinkink of getting my tongue pierce, Im 33 years old, and work as a hotel manager. ?

Are there any real dangers and can I have it without anyone noticing it?Im thinkink of getting my tongue pierce, Im 33 years old, and work as a hotel manager. ?
no there will always be ';something shiny'; in your mouth. unless you have dentures i don't suggest it either it can hurt if it hits your teeth and even chip them.Im thinkink of getting my tongue pierce, Im 33 years old, and work as a hotel manager. ?
WHY? You are 33 years old and have nothing better to do with your money and time and body/health than piercing your tongue? Isn't there enough pain in the world? I will never understand you people.
:S dont do it

Take you mid-life crisis and get out of here! LOL

Don't do it, man, that looks so lame.
People are going to notice if you have something on your tongue, plus for a while you talk differently(after the first week or so of having the peircing)
Of course there are real dangers! You could chip or break a tooth, get an infection at the piercing site, possible nerve damage, not to mention the speech impediment you would have while healing and getting used to it. Do you want to risk an infection of your tongue that at worst could make you lose part of your tongue? Besides, I always thought part of the reason for getting a tongue piercing was to have it noticed.
i don't know if that would be the best decision for a hotel manager. when you talk to customers, they will notice it. Plus, if you want it out eventually you will have a hole in your tongue forever. i wanted my tongue pierced but i would like to be an attorney and i don't want to live with a hole in my tongue, So, good luck with the decision!
it looks real cheap to me, i dont like them.

i think theyre really noticable especially at first getting used to it and i hate it when people play with it, by sticking theyre tongue out and moving across their lips . it looks so sleazy.

it wouldnt look professional for a hotel manager no way
i agree with the above answer as well... first of all... ew no. i find, as do many of my friends, that that is way unattractive and gross... and if it is pierced wrong, can damage nerve endings, if not kill them, and cause you major issues, you can chip your teeth, and it does tend to look trashy and unprofessional. I've worked for people who won't hire people if they have their tongue pierced...
Don't do it!

You can chip your teeth, get infected, and look unprofessional all at once.
i suppose as long as you keep your mouth shut. i don't think there is any danger
nah. i wouldnt go for it... your job calls for you to look professional and clean. having that would just look wrong...
That's a really bad idea , you should consider yourself a sophisticated person and carrie yourself as a professionally at all times. Never accept anything less.
Some men look great with them, but at your age you may just come off as creepy. It's your call.
Well, its good that you have come out of the closet at an age that your parents are most probably long gone, thus won't have to know that you're a homosexual. But, I think it will look rather unprofessional for a hotel manager to get one. You are the manager though, so it is up to you really.
You will be viewed as a hypocrite if you turn down a potential employee that has multiple face piercings and tattooes.

A piece of jewelry in your tongue WILL be noticed!

What is with this craze of tattoes and punching holes in our bodies?

Yes, there is always the danger of extreme infection. Especially in the mouth where there is so much bacteria and the concern of food getting into it while it is healing. Also, a tongue piercing is very visible and will definitely be seen. Keep in mind that you are in a work position that requires you to keep a certain appearance and many people will find a tongue piercing inappropriate. I am not saying that they are correct in their judgment, I am just saying this is how it is. You may want to give this some further thought.
There's always the danger of infection from any piercing. Is anybody gonna notice it? Nah, nobody will notice that shiny thing stuck thru your tongue...if you keep your mouth closed.
